Another member of the athletic Peat family is coming to Tucson to play for the Arizona Wildcats, except the latest addition is on the football field.
Former Arizona State offensive lineman Keona Peat transferred to the UA on Saturday. Peat is the older brother of five-star basketball player Koa Peat, who signed to play for the UA men’s basketball team in 2025. The Peat brothers attended Arizona football’s spring showcase last month.
Both Peat brothers are younger siblings of NFL offensive lineman Andrus Peat.
Corona del Sol’s Keona Peat (32) guards Perry’s Koa Peat during a basketball game at Corona del Sol High School on Jan. 10, 2023, in Tempe.
Keona Peat, a 6-2, 265-pound offensive lineman from Tempe, played two seasons for the ASU football team before entering the transfer portal. Peat signed with ASU after a standout career at Tempe Corona del Sol High School.
Peat appeared in two games at ASU and played 14 snaps at center in ASU’s win over Wyoming last season, according to Pro Football Focus. Center and guard are among the positions of need for Arizona entering the summer.
Peat is now the 29th addition in the transfer portal for Arizona in the last two portal windows. Arizona has added four players in the spring so far, including two offensive linemen.
