You can't see it here — black-and-white photo — but Arizona wore electric blue jerseys during the funky 1970s. Quarterback Bruce Hill led Arizona’s “1-2-3” offense to one of the best seasons in school history. Hill finished the 1975 season with 1,747 passing yards and 18 touchdowns.

Arizona will induct former quarterback Bruce Hill into its Ring of Honor this season. The Wildcats announced on Wednesday.

The official induction will take place during the Wildcats' homecoming matchup with UCLA on Nov. 4.

Hill, who quarterbacked the Wildcats from 1973-75, ended his Arizona career with 5,090 passing yards, 45 touchdowns and 6,054 all-purpose yards.

After a productive first season with 1,529 passing yards, Hill was named a Western Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year in 1973. The following season, Hill helped the Wildcats snap a nine-game losing streak to Arizona State to reclaim the Territorial Cup.

As a senior in 1975, Hill led the Wildcats to a 9-2 record, 5-2 in WAC play, which remains one of the best seasons in program history. Hill also set a then-program record with 451 yards in a win over New Mexico.

The Wildcats were 26-7 with Hill as their starting quarterback.

Arizona kicks off Pac-12 play against Stanford on Saturday at 4 p.m.
