Willcox’s now long-delayed elimination game at the Little League Softball World Series was postponed yet again Thursday morning — the impact of Tropical Storm Debby cancelling all of the day’s action in Greenville, North Carolina.
Willcox’s 12U team, the “West” region representative, is 1-1 so far at the 12-team final series which will is expected to crown the 2024 Little League softball world champion this month. Willcox was originally slated to play late Tuesday, but weather pushed that to Wednesday, and then Thursday, and now to an undetermined future date and time.
On its X (Twitter) account, Little League posted Thursday morning that “no games will be played today” with the “Series in an extended weather delay” as Tropical Storm Debby continues to impact the Coastal Carolina region.
Little League has yet to update its schedule.
