Newcomer info: No. 4 overall recruit in the 2013 class by ESPN Recruiting Nation basketball, turned down Kentucky, Oregon and Washington to come to the UA, likely NBA draft lottery pick after one-and-done season here

T.J. McConnell, junior

Height, weight: 6-1, 190 pounds
Newcomer info: Transfer from Duquesne sat out 2012 while awaiting the start of his final two years of eligibility per NCAA rules. The true point guard is known for his passing excellence, heady play and solid jump shot.

Nick Johnson, junior
Position, number: Guard, 13
Height, weight: 6-3, 200 pounds
2012 stats: Do-everything guard led the Cats with 112 assists and 68 steals and also improved his jumper by shooting 39.3 percent from the three-point line. After recording a 47-inch vertical leap not long ago during the offseason, he appears ready to take another step forward.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, freshman
Position, number: Forward, 23
Height, weight: 6-7, 205 pounds
Newcomer info: Defensive ace from Chester, Pa., is ESPN Recruiting Nation basketball's 21st ranked player in the 2013 class. Not likely to be a one-and-done player, but the sky is the limit for the lefty wing.

Brandon Ashley, sophomore
Position, number: Forward, 21
Height, weight: 6-8, 235 pounds
2012 stats: As a true freshman, Ashley averaged 7.5 points per game and 5.3 rebounds per game while shooting at a 53.8 percent clip from the field. He also made all three of his three-point attempts.

Jacob Hazzard, sophomore
Position, number: Guard, 50
Height, weight: 5-11, 165 pounds
2012 stats: Walk-on and grandson former UCLA great Walt Hazzard played 11 minutes last season and had a rebound, an assist and two turnovers in his court time.

Zach Peters, redshirt freshman
Position, number: Forward, 33
Height, weight: 6-10, 238 pounds
Newcomer info: The former Kansas commit left the school after suffering multiple concussions. He was granted his eligibility for this season on Sept. 26 and is expected to be part of the rotation.
