The Arizona Wildcats’ sophomore linebacker leads the team with 139 tackles, is first in the nation with 27 tackles-for-loss and six forced fumbles and ranks third in the country with 14 sacks. Wright was named the conference’s defensive player of the year on Tuesday, and is a finalist for the Chuck Bednarik Award, Bronko Nagurski Trophy and Lombardi Award.
