Watch: Salpointe Catholic cruises by El Paso Del Valle
Lancers take care of business at home

Photos by Kelly Presnell / Arizona Daily StarLast week, Salpointe Catholic running back Bijan Robinson fumbled twice in the Lancers' win over Desert Edge. Robinson bounced back against El Paso Del Valle with 276 yards on 23 carries and tied the single-game touchdown record with five as Salpointe Catholic coasted to a 42-27 win Friday night.
The Lancers dealt with injuries to key players throughout the game. The first one was two-way star Mario Padilla who injured his groin in the second quarter and was held out for the rest of the way. His replacement would be another two-way player who resembles Padilla's style of play in junior Dae han Chang. Then at the start of the third quarter, senior quarterback Devin Green left the game with a non-throwing hand injury and junior Jackson Bolin stepped in to control the offense just enough so Del Valle couldn't complete a comeback.
Salpointe Catholic advanced to 3-0 on the season and will play Glendale Cactus on the road next Friday. After the game against Del Valle, head coach Dennis Bene, Robinson, Chang and Bolin spoke to HS Tucson about Friday's win.
