Photos: Ironwood Ridge stuns No. 1 Phoenix Arcadia to reach 5A softball final
Seeded eighth in the Class 5A softball tournament, Ironwood Ridge capped its improbable run to the state championship game Thursday night by knocking out No. 1 Phoenix Arcadia 9-0. The Nighthawks await the winner of Cienega and Peoria Centennial in Friday night's semifinal.
The 5A state final is 5:30 p.m. Monday at Farrington Softball Stadium in Tempe.
