Pima’s Deion James, the ACCAC’s co-player of the year, was offered a scholarship by Washington State coach Ernie Kent last week.

Pima College star Deion James has been named the 2017 Spalding NJCAA DII Basketball Player of the Year.

James, a sophomore forward, led the Aztecs to 22 wins, their most since 1990, and an undefeated record in conference play.

James averaged 20.6 points, 9.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. He as named the ACCAC Player of the Year.

James, who started his year at North Carolina A&T, is likely to sign with another Division I school soon.
