Pima College's run though the ACCAC Division I tournament ended Thursday with a loss to the nation's top-ranked team.Β
Southwestern Community College topped the eighth-seeded Aztecs 81-75 to push the Aztecs to the consolation bracket of the NJCAA Division II national tournament in Danville, Illinois. Emilio Acedo finished with a team-high 24 points and his 5 of 9 3-point attempts in the quarterfinals loss. Deion James finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds, but went 3 for 18 from the field.
The Aztecs will play the loser of Parkland College/Richard Bland College on Friday at 11 .m., Tucson-time. The winner of that game will advance to the fifth-place game.Β
