Pima’s Sydni Stallworth played her final game with the Aztecs in 2016-17 before taking off for NCAA Division II University of Alaska Anchorage.

For the second consecutive year, Pima College guard Sydni Stallworth has been named an NJCAA Division II All-American.

The Aztecs guard received the national honors on the Friday. She becomes the second Pima player to be named an All-American in back-to-back seasons: Tia Morrison (2009-10) and Abyee Maracigan (2009-10) were the others.

Stallworth averaged 17 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 2.3 steals per game for the Aztecs, who went 23-8 and finished second in the Region I, Division II tournament. She shot 39 percent from the field and 81 percent from the free-throw line.

Stallworth has signed a national letter-of-intent to play at Alaska-Anchorage next season.
