Second Arizona Bowl set for afternoon kickoff on Dec. 30

The second Nova Home Loans Arizona Bowl will take place Dec. 30 and will have an afternoon kickoff time, bowl officials announced Thursday.

The start time is expected to be between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. at Arizona Stadium. An official announcement is expected within the next two weeks.

Bowl officials also announced four-year agreements with the Mountain West and Sun Belt conferences, as well a long-term partnership with Nova Home Loans as the bowl’s title sponsor.

As part of a multiyear partnership, Campus Insiders again will stream the game. A supplemental linear broadcast agreement is imminent, said Ali Farhang, the executive board chairman of the Arizona Bowl.

The inaugural Arizona Bowl pitted Colorado State against Nevada on Tuesday, Dec. 29. The Wolf Pack prevailed 28-23 in front of an announced crowd of 20,425. The game began at 5:30 p.m.
