The Tucson Roadrunners will not play their scheduled home games against the San Diego Gulls Tuesday and Wednesday night as they continue to await word on hospitalized center Craig Cunningham.

Make-up dates will be announced at a later date.

Cunningham, 26 and the Roadrunners' team captain, collapsed just before Saturday night's scheduled game against Manitoba. The game was postponed after Cunningham was taken from the ice and to a Tucson hospital.

General manager Doug Soetaert said Tuesday that Cunningham was "critically ill" and that doctors are still trying to figure out what happened.

"As we move forward, he's in great, great hands," Soetaert said, but acknowledged that much is still unknown.

"It's a changing target every day," he said.
