Name: Steve McLaughlin 

Years at UA: 1991-94

Accomplishments: In 1994, McLaughlin was a co-captain of the team when the Wildcats went 8-4 and was a first-team All-Pac-10 selection. He was a consensus first-team All-American selection in 1994 and won the Lou Groza Collegiate Place Kicker Award that year as well. He was later inducted into the Arizona Sports Hall of Fame in 2000. 

McLaughlin ranks in the top 10 in UA history in the following categories: 

• Career points scored: 4th, 283 points 

• Single-season field goals: 1st, 23 made (out of 29 attempts in 1994)

• Longest field goal: Tied for 4th, 54-yard field goal (against Cal in 1994); also tied for 8th — McLaughlin hit a 53-yard field goal on two separate occasions (against Washington State in 1993 and against Stanford in 1994)
