Cactus Springs, the new water playground at Funtasticks Family Fun Park will open July 4. 

The play area will feature a splash pad and several bucket drops over slides and climbing bars and is being built where the old batting cages were located.  

The cost to get in to Cactus Springs starts at $14.99. Funtasticks, 221 E. Wetmore Road, will offer the water park admission separately, as well as an add-on option to the existing three-hour "awesome" wristband, said Terry Gonzalez, group sales and marketing manager. 

Private cabanas will be available for an additional charge. 

A grand opening event is tentatively in the works for August. Follow Funtasticks on FB for updates.
