A Wonderful Place to Wander
Where: Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, 7000 N. Resort Drive
What: Bookings for a two night stay that are made June 14-30 for travel through December will be discounted by 20 percent. Make sure to do some stargazing at the Cascade Terrace with the resort's telescope. There's no extra cost to do this, but contact the resort for the weekly schedule.

The Loews Ventana Canyon resort (which includes a desert tortoise exhibit) will undergo a multimillion-dollar “soft goods renovation” beginning in late spring or early summer of next year. The project is slated to wrap up by the end of 2015.
