Both were record-setting high school national champions this year and both won the New Balance national championships last week in North Carolina. Washington already has a potential rival for Pac-12 honors for the next four years:Β Jonah WilsonΒ of Clovis, California, set the California prep discus record this year and has signed to compete at Washington. At the national finals in North Carolina, Washington beat Wilson by 21 inches.Β
