We can't think of a sweeter way to celebrate than splitting a decadent chocolate cake at this homey downtown cafe. Created by pastry chef Lora Quarrella, the chocolate bomb features layers of chocolate sponge cake, ganache and mousse, rolled in chocolate shavings and then glazed in a blanket of more ganache. Princess Bride Valentine's Day screening at the Loft

Barrel-Aged Beer at Pueblo Vida
The downtown brewery is holding a night to celebrate its collaboration with the local whiskey distiller Hamilton Distillers. Starting at 4 p.m., bartenders will tap the final keg of "2016 Resonance," an imperial stout that's infused with coffee, coconut and vanilla and aged in Whiskey del Bac barrels, in addition to a barrel-aged Hefeweizen they call "Fassweizen."
