If you’ve got bookworm teens at home, Barnes & Noble is holding a three-day book festival Friday through next Sunday, June 10-12.

The free event — B-Fest — at the Barnes & Noble at 5130 E. Broadway includes author signings, writer workshops, panel discussions, sneak peeks at new books, games and prizes.

Participating authors include C.C. Wyatt, Alica McKenna Johnson, Adam Rex, Kathleen Glasgow, Michelle Gordon and more.

Panel discussions will be held on getting books published and illustration. There will also be a story development workshop where the teens will learn how to write a log line, create a log line and reimagine popular characters.

Participants of Trivia Night — 7 p.m. Friday, June 10 — can win advance readers from Random House.

“Barnes and Noble is trying to do more community-based events in all stores,” said Lisa Wiggington, the store’s community business development manager. “So we are creating more and more fun events. ... They wanted to do something for teens and to inspire them and so they created the B-Fest.”

All Barnes & Noble store locations will hold B-Fest on the same weekend, which includes the Foothills Mall location, 7325 N. La Cholla Blvd.

Events at the Foothills Mall location include tips on building a portfolio for artists, a workshop on themes in dystopian novels and a workshop on story development, to name a few.
