Family fun for all

You and your family have to take advantage of all the free stuff at the Family Festival in the Park. Get into the Reid Park Zoo for free, enjoy a free swim at Edith Ball Adaptive Recreation Center (starts at noon), learn golf during the free 10-minute golf instruction at the Randolph Driving Range, get your face painted and more.

Cost: The event and activities are free but it is encouraged to bring non-perishables to benefit the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona. There will be local food vendors available for snack and lunch purchases.

Attend a pumpkin smash

Unfortunately, you don't get to smash the pumpkins but you get to watch the animals smash them and that's pretty dang cute.

Walk then fun

The first ever Fall into Winter: Family Fun Walk and Day in the Park is this weekend. Start with a family-friendly walk and then jump in the bounce houses, enjoy the food trucks, listen to music and more.

When: Sunday, Nov. 20, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Where: River Front Park, 551 W. Lambert Lane

Hide yo electronics

Analog Day is coming to Exo and Tap & Bottle. Take a book, your unfinished novel, sketchbook or anything that doesn't involve technology and spend two hours unplugged.

Let your little performer shine

La Cocina hosts kid-friendly open mic nights all the time and it's back this weekend. Kids 13-and-under can take the stage by themselves or with someone to perform their favorite song. Sign ups start at 4:20 p.m. and on a first-come, first-served basis. If your kid doesn't want to perform, there will be a craft corner and face painting.
