Welcome 2017 with a run on New Year's Day because if you can make it through a 5K, you can make it through the year. Go by yourself, drag your friend along or make it a family affair.
Hot Cocoa 5K
Enjoy the view of Pusch Ridge as you and the kids walk, jog or run 3.2 miles on the multi-use path starting at Steam Pump Ranch (maybe there will be snow to look at). There will be snacks, water and hot cocoa. The best part (aside from hot cocoa) is kids under 12 run free AND strollers are welcome on the course. This run benefits the Town of Oro Valley's Round Up For Youth Recreation Scholarship Program.

Egg Nog Jog
Walk, run or jog from Continental Reserve Park through the Reserve neighborhood in Marana. Bring your dog or stroller for support (if you want). There will be egg nog and raffled prizes.

The Egg Nog Jog, a New Year’s Day 5K, has kicked off quite a few resolutions over the years for runners, joggers, and walkers.
When: Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017, 8:30-11 a.m. Check-in starts at 7:30 a.m. and the race starts at 9:17 a.m.

Cost: Prices vary by when you buy the tickets.

• If you register for the 4-mile trail run before Jan. 8, you’ll only pay $35. It goes up to $40 from Jan. 9-19 and $45 the weekend of the race.
• The 1-mile run is $25 before Jan. 8 and $30 after that.
• Children 10 and under are free.
