Museum of Miniatures

Suzie Jones and her children spent hours exploring the The Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures. The family, from Maricopa, AZ was in town while dad was at a conference.

Children and adults on the autism spectrum can enjoy a morning at The Mini Time Machine of Miniatures at an event just for them July 24.

My Time at the Mini is an annual event where the museum's doors open specifically for people with autism and their families and close friends.

Visitors will get to experience the museum in a comfortable way and "many of the museum's hyper-sensory features will be dialed down," said Michael Shea Muscarello, the museum's education assistant and volunteer manager.

An instructor will be on hand to facilitate a craft project for those who want a more tactile experience.

Pre-registration is required.

The rotunda leads to several galleries of different types and styles of miniatures at the Mini Time Machine Museum of Miniatures, 4455 East Camp Lowell Drive.
