Free information on breastfeeding, oral health, birthing centers and nutrition will be given to new and pregnant moms at a health fair hosted by Pima County Health Department August 5.
The fourth annual Healthy from the Start fair will bring together community resources to help families with kids on a variety of topics with emphasis on providing educational support to pregnant women and new moms interested in breastfeeding.
Experts in child development will be on hand to give demonstrations to parents on easy play activities and to hand out free children's books, while supplies last.
The fair will also include mini breakout sessions on relaxation techniques, nutrition for pregnant and breastfeeding moms, breastfeeding and the working mom, how to start a home garden and story time for kids.
There will also be raffles, giveaways and food trucks on site.
The free health fair takes place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. August 5 at the Abrams Public Health Center, 3950 S. Country Club Road.
