A trip to a pumpkin patch is more than just picking pumpkins, it's about losing yourself in a corn maze, enjoying a wagon ride and taking a basic photo of your boyfriend or family. This year is no different. Start the season off right with any of these four local pumpkin patches.

Marana Pumpkin Patch & Farm Festival

14901 N. Wentz Road, about a 30-40 minute drive unless you live on the northwest side

While drought in the Midwest has caused a nationwide shortage of pumpkins, Arizona’s farms, like the Marana Pumpkin Patch shown above, have maintained local prices.

Marana Pumpkin Patch & Farm FestivalΒ runs Oct. 1 to Oct. 30.Β 

Cost:Β 

β€’ Weekday special (Monday-Thursday): $10 plus tax per person

β€’ Weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday): $12 plus tax per person

β€’Β Kids 32" and under get in free

* Pumpkins are priced at $.50 per pound

β€’ Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Admission includes entry to the festival, a wagon ride to the pumpkin patch, access to both corn mazes, Straw Mountain, the Kids Zone, and the petting zoo, and more. Check out the full list here. Buckelew Farm

17000 W. Ajo Way, about a 30-40 minute drive

The annual Buckelew Farm Pumpkin Festival & Corn Maze,Β 17000 W. Ajo Way near Three Points.

Buckelew FarmΒ runs during the last four weekend of October.

Cost:

β€’ Admission is $10.00 per person, children in diapers get in for free and seniors (55+) with ID pay $8.

β€’ Kids Weekend (Saturday, Oct. 8 and Sunday, Oct. 9) means half-off admission for children 12 and under.

β€’ Military and Public Service Appreciation Weekend (Saturday, Oct. 15 and Sunday, Oct. 16) with active duty military/public service photo I.D. get a 20 cent per pound discount on on pumpkins.

Hours:Β 

β€’ Pumpkin Festival and Corn Maze happens from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

β€’ Terror in the Corn happens every Friday and Saturday of October, including Oct. 30 and 31. It starts when it is totally dark out (approx. 6:30 p.m) and gates open at 6 p.m. Check prices here.

Cost:Β Pumpkins are sold by size, so it depends on what you choose. You can get a tiny pumpkin for as little as $1 and a huge one for as much as $75. The bigger the pumpkin, the more you're going to pay.

Hours:Β They are currently open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. but starting Oct. 8, they will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. TheyΒ will be open daily until Halloween.Β 

You just kind of go in and pick the pumpkin that speaks to your soul. Pro tip: Pick the most sincere pumpkin. Love you Charlie Brown.
