Sad news: Tucson Highβs 1981 All-City linebackerΒ Osia LewisΒ has been forced to leave his coaching position at Vanderbilt. Lewis is undergoing chemotherapy treatment for liver cancer. Lewis was a three-year starter at Oregon State and then became a career defensive coach, at Oregon State, Illinois, New Mexico, San Diego State, UTEP and now Vanderbilt. Osia, 54, will serve as the chief consultant to Vandy head coachΒ Derek Mason.Β
