A local furniture retailer has expanded into a second site with plans to add more handcrafted Amish furniture.
Brett Interiors has opened Leather Gallery by Brett Interiors at 3821 W. Costco Drive near Orange Grove and Thornydale roads.
The 3200-square-foot store is their second location.
The company has been in business since 1999 at 7311 E. Broadway.
Asked what prompted the expansion, Owner Joshua Brett said it was timing.
“Tucson is expanding and we offer a unique experience in Tucson for furniture,” he said. “And, there’s a lack of furniture stores in Tucson.”
He started carrying Amish furniture about a year ago and plans to expand that line.
“It represents a quality I had never seen in wood furniture,” Brett said. “Every piece is unique and autographed by the Amish gentleman who builds it.”
He works with craftsman in Indiana and Ohio.
