The moment of peak solar eclipse on Aug. 21, 2017, in Tucson, Ariz.

If you have been keeping up with the rest of America, you would know that a solar eclipse happened earlier today and we're all better for it.

And while Tucson was not in the zone of totality, we did get some sort of show as the moon blocked 60 percent of the sun's surface at 10:36 a.m.

The result was a cool display of dazzling of sun crescents found all over Instagram.

Here's how a people viewed this rare event around town.
