Wildflowers and palo verde blooms create patches of yellow splendor along lower stretches of the Catalina Highway northeast of Tucson at the beginning of spring.

Spring doesn't officially start till Monday, but we can already tell Tucson is perking up to the season.

Here are just a few clues we found on Instagram.

All days are good days for a nice bike ride.

The smell of citrus blossoms are everywhere.

You can't pass any street without spotting a bougainvillea or two.
