Arizona guard Allonzo Trier (35) muscles his way through three Cougars including Washington State guard Charles Callison (23) on his way to picking up a trip to the free-throw line in the second half of their Pac-12 game at McKale Center, Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017, Tucson, Ariz. The Cougars are expected to deploy a matchup zone against the Wildcats, and who can blame them? Arizona has seen zone defenses consistently since beating UCLA on Jan. 21, which includes their 79-62 win over WSU at McKale Center, when UA led by only three points with eight minutes to go. Normally, WSU mixes in man-to-man with the zone, but they allow 78.9 points and have the conferenceโ€™s worst field goal percentage defense (50.8) in Pac-12 games. Among the bright spots for WSU is the 1.6 steals per game that Charles Callison averages.ย
