After losing Smith, with the suspension of Comanche and Trier’s eligibility questions, Miller said the Wildcats would likely have to start using some of their walk-ons.
That would be Jake Desjardins, Tyler Trillo and Paulo Cruz.
With the exhibition game against Chico being so close, though, Miller stuck with a 7-man rotation and never brought out any of that walk-on trio.
Still, Miller said they’re preparing the walk-ons for playing time. Even with Comanche possibly back this week, Arizona’s rotation will still be short.
“Everyone has a bigger role now,” Allen said. “Even the walk-ons will have a chance to get in the games.”
