The Tucson Soccer Academy produced 11 players who are competing (or have competed) in this year’s NCAA soccer tournament. Much like the CDO baseball signees, that’s got to be some kind of record. Ironwood Ridge’s Kaitlyn Lopez, Palo Verde’s LeeAndra Smith, Tempe Corona del Sol’s Mykaylin Rosenquist, and Mountain View’s Laura Pimienta and Priscilla Pimienta and Sahuaro’s Jasmine Simmons play for Arizona; ASU’s McKenzie Grossman and Chandler Morris both played for TSA teams; as did Oklahoma’s Madi Kinzer of Ironwood Ridge and NAU’s Amber Measley of Catalina Foothills.
