27 Days Away: Former Lancer Flowers took softball gold in '04

Tairia Flowers won a state title at Salpointe Catholic High School under the name of Tairia Mims. She went on to win an NCAA title at UCLA and an Olympic gold medal.

State championship at Salpointe, NCAA title and 61 home runs at UCLA, Olympic Gold medal in 2004 as a catcher, first baseman and third baseman.
