Arizona guard T.J. McConnell (4) talks with Arizona head coach Sean Miller during the first half of the No. 7 Arizona Wildcats vs. Oregon Ducks men's college basketball game on Thursday, Jan. 8, 2015, in Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene, Ore.

SIDELINES

Arizona didn’t arrive home until about 4 a.m. Monday after playing the Beavers, then took the rest of that day off. That left just Tuesday and Wednesday to turn things around and prepare for Colorado and Utah this weekend.

But that's life in the Pac-12.

“That’s what makes our conference special and so difficult to be successful in,” Miller said. “Each of us have these tough travel sitautions to deal with. We had a five-day trip to Oregon, then had a quick turnaround to play two really good teams that haven’t played since (Jan. 7, when Utah hosted Colorado). But I’m sure if you look at Colorado and Utah, you’ll see where they have a tough travel situation down the road. When you have it, you do the best you can.”

Sure enough, the Buffs have a Wednesday game at Oregon next month after a Sunday home game against Stanford while Utah has a rare Wednesday-Sunday home series next week against Washington and WSU, cramming up the two travel weeks that are around those games.
