Ex-Cat Frese coaches team to championshipΒ 

Compared to the troubles at Arizona’s women’s basketball program,Β Brenda Frese, a three-year Arizona basketball player who graduated in 1993, coached Maryland to the Big Ten women’s basketball championship and is 30-2 overall this season. Frese, 44, has a 410-135 career coaching record and earns an estimated $1.1 million yearly at Maryland, which averaged 4,885 in home attendance this season.
