At Santa Rita, the Eagles defended their home turf Friday by defeating Palo Verde in overtime.
Quarterback Cameron Gianforte found receiver Aaron Wilkerson for a 6-yard score in overtime as the Eagles earned their first victory of the season. The Eagles then stopped the Titans inside the 5-yard line to end the game.
With the Eagles trailing 22-7 at halftime, running back Samuel Fonseca scored on a 1-yard run to bring Santa Rita (1-3) back into the game at 22-14 in the third quarter.
A couple of big stops, including a fumble recovery inside the Titans' 10-yard line set up Gianforte's fourth-quarter touchdown pass to Dawone Childs that tied the game. Dwain Wolf, Cyleus Mccurn, and Brad Rudder all had rushing touchdowns for the Titans (0-5).
