Former Tucson High star Williams led Badgers to championship game
In the early 1960s, Tucson High running backΒ Clyde WilliamsΒ was as productive as any football player in Arizona. He led the Badgers to the 1962 state championship game, where they lost to Scottsdale Arcadia, and in 1963 Williams was Tucsonβs prep player of the year. Sadly, Williams died of lung cancer last week.Β
