Eight-time NCAA distance-running champ Lawi Lalang hit the motherlode for pro runners last week when he accepted an endorsement offer as part of the Nike running stable. Flowing Wells grad Tara Erdmann is part of the Nike Project for distance runners; she was the fifth-best American female finisher (10th overall) in last week’s Falmouth (Mass.) Road Race, earning $1,000. Arizona’s 2012 All-American Stephen Sambu was paid $10,000 for winning the men’s race at Falmouth.
