Project YES of the Tucson Urban League
Mission: Project YES is a certified after-school tutoring and homework-help program that provides high-quality services aimed at improving academic achievement of grade-school-age children living in poverty.
Wish list: School supplies (electric pencil sharpeners, colored pencils, magic markers, highlighters, children’s scissors, glue sticks, flash cards for basic math); puzzles (24 to 100 pieces) and board games; 5-oz. paper drinking cups; Kleenex; copy paper; recent World Book Encyclopedia; Children’s Illustrated Dictionary; radio with plug for earphones; dry-erase boards; underpants and pants for ages 5 to 8; playground equipment; $250 a year to sponsor a child.

The Hermitage No-Kill Cat Shelter & Sanctuary
Mission: We are both an adoption facility and long-term sanctuary for felines considered “adoption-challenged,” including felines who are FIV or FeLV-positive.
