Remember the way unheralded Utah’s Delon Wright tore up Pac-12 teams before everyone else around the country took notice this season?

Could be that way for Gary Payton II, the way UA coach Sean Miller saw it after the son of the Oregon State legend had 10 points, nine rebounds, three assists and two steals Sunday for OSU against UA.

“Because of the well-roundedness of his game, he reminds me a little bit of how Delon Wright took off for Utah,” Miller said. “He brings so many things to the table you can make the case that he’s one of our country’s best players in terms of overall defense, rebounding, offense.”
