Amphitheater will properly honor Hall of Fame coach Vern Friedli at Friday’s opener against Pueblo. It will be Amphi Alumni Football Night at Friedli Field. All coaches from Friedli’s 1979 state championship team plan to attend, as do dozens of ex-Panthers including former Colorado and NFL linebacker Steve Doolittle.
