George Strait hits the road in January for the second leg of his Cowboy Rides Away tour — the legendary Texas country singer’s final tour.

Strait earlier this week announced he will tap a different big-league Nashville star to join him throughout the tour, which stops in Phoenix’s US Airways Center on Feb. 7.

Ticket information has not been released.

Among the stars Strait has invited to join him are Merle Haggard, Martina McBride, Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Sheryl Crow, Little Big Town and Ronnie Dunn. In what order they will appear has not been announced, so we don’t know yet who will be with him in Phoenix.

The 61-year-old Strait, who has scored 60 No. 1 hits in a career that goes back to 1981, announced last year that he would stop touring. He broke his final tour into two legs, the first of which was a soldout trek last winter.

The second leg kicks off Jan. 9 in Louisiana and will conclude is his native Texas sometime after May 31; the final date has not been announced.

Strait, who recently renewed his record deal with MCA Records, will continue recording.
