Korcheck's old team preparing for national tournament

Before UA senior Matt Korcheck left the media interview room after Senior Day against Stanford, he flashed two thumbs-up at the news his old school, Cochise College, had won a berth in the NJCAA national championships this week in Hutchinson, Kansas. Coach Jerry Carrillo’s Apaches open the tournament Monday against highly ranked Vincennes of Indiana. This will be Carrillo’s third berth in the NJCAA finals. The UA and Salpointe Catholic grad won two epic road games against Mesa College and Central Arizona College to get into the nationals.
