Startup Tucson has announced the 13 companies selected for the third edition of the Thryve ScaleUp growth accelerator program.

The 10-week training and mentorship program is funded through a contract award from the federal Small Business Administration’s ScaleUp America program.

About 70 companies have gone through the Thryve ScaleUp program since January 2015.

In this round, the companies receiving training at no cost to them will be:

  • Peaceful Spirit Massage & Wellness Centers, offering services that help people reduce or eliminate pain and to gain energy.
  • Cyborg Technology, Inc., which offers a full range of IT and business consulting services.
  • FoodInRoot, an event management company that provides communities with accessibility to local foods and goods.
  • REhnu, Inc., which uses new, focused solar technology to create both electricity and heat in a simple, compact solution.
  • La Cholla Landscaping, a rapidly growing local firm.
  • Smith & Dale, LLC, which helps nonprofits organize and raise money.
  • Elegant Iron, LLC, a metal goods manufacturing firm with sandblasting, powder coating and consulting services.
  • By Your Side Senior Care, LLC, which offers a caregiver network.
  • Isabella’s Ice Cream, which uses its business β€œas a tool for positive social change.”
  • Pigeon Post Freight Distribution, which offers distribution services for any point in the supply chain.
  • Tucson Foodie, which provides food-related content on Facebook, Twitter and online.
  • Native Innovation Inc., which provides IT support to schools, industry and numerous clients and partners with tribal education institutions.
  • Code 4 Bikes, which builds bikes specifically designed for the law enforcement rider.
