Tucson-based Sinfonía HealthCare Corp. said its Assurance Health & Wellness division has acquired Yuma-based Arizona Counseling & Treatment Services.
The Yuma company provides mental and physical health-care services to more than 4,500 clients across Southern Arizona, Sinfonía said.
Sinfonía’s Assurance Health & Wellness division, near South Park Avenue and East Ajo Way, serves about 2,000 clients in a fully integrated clinic that combines primary care with behavioral-health treatment, the company said.
The acquisition will add service locations in Arizona City, Benson, Bisbee, Clifton, Coolidge, Maricopa, Parker, Quartzsite, Safford, Sierra Vista, San Luis, Wellton, Willcox, and Yuma, as well as Phoenix and Tucson, making Assurance one of the largest providers in Arizona, the company said.
Launched in Tucson in 2013 and grown through several acquisitions, Sinfonía HealthCare provides mental-health services in Arizona, Florida, Louisiana, Maine, New Hampshire and Virginia. Its SinfoníaRx division provides pharmacy claims management and medication management for 45 million patients in the U.S.
