The former Luz Academy on the city’s west side is set to be renovated and turned into a senior living community.

A former school on Tucson’s west side will become a community for seniors.

Ramsey Canyon 4120 LLC bought the former Luz Academy at 2797 N. Cerrado de Beto from ROI Properties. The former psychiatric hospital and charter school, constructed in 1999 and renovated in 2011, is about 40,000 square feet and sits on 30 acres near Silverbell Road and Ironwood Hill Drive.

The sale price was $2.2 million and the buyer plans a complete renovation of the building for a senior living community.

  • Clairemont Partners LLC bought Clairemont Plaza, a 70,000 square foot multi-tenant business park in Eastside Research Commerce Center at 22nd Street and Pantano Road. Gary Emerson, of GRE Partners LLC, represented the seller, Foothills Business Ventures LLC, in the $3.6 million sale. Rob Glaser, of Picor, represented the buyer.
  • RPWorks LLP bought Hidden Cove, a 30-unit multifamily complex at 3239-3276 N. Geronimo Ave. and 420 / 422 E. Navajo Road from The ACW Family Limited Partnership LLLP for $850,000. Allan Mendelsberg, with Picor, represented the buyer and Tony Reed, with Long Realty Co., represented the seller.
  • Outer Heaven LLC bought an 11,259-square-foot office building at 3655 E. Second St. from R. Legacy Irrevocable Trust for $675,000. Brandon Rodgers and Tom Nieman, with Picor, represented the seller. Adam Lundquist, with Southwest Urban Realty LLC, represented the buyer.
  • SWW LLC bought 5,783 square feet of industrial space on 1.10 acres at 2521 N. Fairview Ave. from Thomas V. Foley, Peggy C. Foley, Bruce M. Engstrand and Judy V. Engstrand for $340,000. Ron Zimmerman, with Picor, represented the buyer and Picor’s Pat Welchert represented the seller.
  • Arizona Turbine Technology Inc. subleased 12,800 square feet at 5455 S. Nogales Highway from Ferguson Enterprises Inc. Stephen D. Cohen and Russell W. Hall, with Picor, represented the landlord and Thomas Hunt and Bob Davis, with Tango Commercial Real Estate, represented the tenant.
  • Dave Hammack and Brenna Lacey, of Volk Co., represented the landlord, AZPAV LLC, in a lease of approximately 9,835 square feet of space to Dollar Tree Store, Inc. at the southwest corner of Cortaro Road and Arizona Pavilions Drive. Kurt Kalocin, of SRS Real Estate Partners, represented the tenant.
  • Capitol Floors Inc. leased 8,400 square feet at 576 W. Ventura St. from West Ventura Properties LLC. Picor’s Ron Zimmerman represented the tenant and Paul Hooker, also with Picor, represented the landlord.
  • Urban Retreat Center LLC leased 3,850 square feet at 2028 E. 14th St. from 14th Street Partners LLC. Paul Hooker, with Picor, represented the landlord.
  • S Landau Enterprises LLC leased 3,840 square feet in Broadbent Center, 2015 N. Forbes Blvd., from Forbes Tucson LLC. Rob Glaser, with Picor, represented the landlord.
  • Wingstop leased 2,200 square feet in Fiesta Mercado, 2980 S. Sixth Ave. from Sixth Avenue Mercado LLC. The store, expected to open late this summer ,will be Wingstop’s seventh restaurant in Tucson. Craig Finfrock, of Commercial Retail Advisors LLC represented the landlord and Pat Sheahan, of Berry & Doyle LLC, represented the tenant.
  • Balloon’s Etc. Inc. leased 2,120 square feet in Midway Business Plaza, 4500 E. Speedway, from Presson Midway LLC. Rob Glaser and Paul Hooker, with Picor, handled the transaction.
  • Creative Photonics LLC leased 1,875 square feet at 305 S. Euclid Ave. from Pascoe Investment-Arizona LLC. Creative Photonics is a consulting and engineering company that creates prototypes for labs, electronics, LEDs and lasers. Stephen D. Cohen and Russell W. Hall, with Picor, and Broker Assistant, Kelly Fickle handled the transaction.
  • Joganic US, LLC leased 1,063 square feet at 5620 N. Kolb Road from Tequila Properties LLC. Andrew Sternberg, of Oxford Realty Advisors, handled the transaction.
