- Brookshire, chief of voluntary services at the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System, was awarded the Veteran Health Administrationβs Voluntary Services Award for Excellence. Brookshireβs volunteer program consists of more than 1,350 volunteers that annually contribute more than 142,000 hours serving veterans in Southern Arizona. She was recognized for her management of programs, including the Arizona Fisher House, and for using innovative ways to manage resources.
