  • U.S. News & World Report ranked Casino del Sol Resort in the top 2 percent of the more than 1,300 hotels in the state that were evaluated for its Best Arizona Hotels list. Additionally, the resort was the only Tucson casino resort ranked on the Best Tucson Hotels list, earning a U.S. News Silver badge.

  • Airman Alan Romero:
  • Romero, an aviation structural mechanic airman from Tucson, received the Sailor of the Day award from the USS John C. Stennis’ commanding officer.
