Sixty students from Warren Elementary School received new winter jackets through the efforts of the Educational Enrichment Foundation and Rincon Optimist Club.

β€’ Wells Fargo Housing Foundation: Granted $100,000 to Primavera Foundation to help stabilize and revitalize South Tucson neighborhoods impacted by the economy.

β€’ Rincon Optimist Club: Through the Educational Enrichment Foundation, the club made it possible for 60 students from Tucson Unified School District’s Warren Elementary School to receive a new winter jacket from Fallas Parades Discount Store and to have lunch at Peter Piper Pizza on Thursday, Oct. 29.

β€’ Cox Charities: Granted $2,500 to Gabriel’s Angels to help provide healing pet therapy to abused, neglected and at-risk children in Southern Arizona.

β€’ Women of Quail Creek: The Green Valley community organization will deliver a donation of clothing, toiletries and other supplies to the Southern Arizona VA Health Care System Homeless Veteran Outreach Program on Monday, Nov. 2.

β€’ Golden Corral: Will offer a free dinner buffet and beverage to any person who is serving or has served in a U.S. military branch, including the National Guard and Reserves, at all of its restaurants from 5 to 9 p.m. Veterans Day, Wednesday, Nov. 11.
