One of the last remaining record stores in Tucson is closing. "With great sorrow, we are announcing that PDQ Records & Tapes is closing its doors after 40 years in business, permanently," according a post on the site's Facebook page.

Larry Maney says he's been working with Jack Grossi, owner of PDQ Records, since 1977. Maney collected surf music and met Grossi when he was selling vinyl out of the record wagon at the Tanque Verde Swap Meet. Now Maney does carpentry for Grossi at the store located at 2342 N.
