A Tucson man’s idea to enhance business travel was brought to life as part of a national campaign by Hyatt Regency.

Chad Graydon was named one of the winners of Hyatt’s It’s Good Not To Be Home contest, in which travelers were asked to submit ideas via social media on how to make business travel better.

Graydon took to Twitter with several ideas, including providing travelers with a relaxation kit complete with calming essential oils, ear plugs and eye mask, and a rental program to let guests check out popular electronics during their stay, such as phones, laptops and smart watches.

But it was his suggestion to offer an on-the-go beauty bar where guests can get a quick touch up before a meeting or a night on the town that was deemed a winner.

Fashion designer Cynthia Rowley and tech mogul Randi Zuckerberg brought Graydon’s idea to life last week at an experiential event at Hyatt Regency Jersey City. The beauty bar will be used for inspiration for future Hyatt Regency experiences and amenities.

The Hyatt campaign was born from the idea that as much as guests like to be home, they enjoy the freedom to break from routine while traveling.
