Sir Veza’s is donating a portion of the proceeds made during all UA March tournament game-viewings to Hope Matters.

  • Houghton Family Dental Care: Nearly four dozen Tucson-area people received free dental services from Houghton Family Dental Care on March 11 as part of Free Dentistry Day. Dr. Shazim Fayyaz, Dr. Jay Waite, Dr. Emily Evert and team provided more than $13,500 worth of dentistry, including cleanings, filling and extractions, for free. Free Dentistry Day was initiated to provide dental care to the growing number of Americans without dental insurance.
  • Sir Veza’s: The Tucson restaurant has partnered with Hope Matters Breast Cancer Foundation to benefit local breast-cancer-related causes during the March college basketball tournaments. As part of the March Matters event, Sir Veza’s, 220 W. Wetmore Road, will donate a portion of proceeds earned at every basketball tournament game-viewing party this month featuring the University of Arizona. There will also be specials and prize drawings aimed at raising money and awareness to benefit the foundation.
  • Arizona Gives Day: The fifth annual event is scheduled for April 4. Arizona Gives Day is a statewide, 24-hour period of online giving to Arizona nonprofits. Since its creation in 2013, Arizona Gives Day has raised over $7.4 million statewide. Last year, nearly $3 million was raised through the generosity of 16,450 donors.
